Thank you for your interest in the Piedmont 2030 Comprehensive Planning Process! In 2010 we were fortunate to have recieved a grant in the amount of $95,000 to help aid us through this process.

A Comprehensive Plan is the first step in creating a document and in helping identify issues, goals, objectives, and policies. Concerns are Roads, lack of Fitness/Sports areas, utility infrustructure and being able to grow in a sustainable manner in which we do not burden future growth costs onto our citizens.

There is a lot to be discussed and we want you to help us. Our Task Force will be spending hours on in, discussing future matters & concerns and how to mitigate those problems.  

Our Community Development Director/Planner, Arti Patel will be taking the steps necessary in helping in creating a Plan and structuring it best fit for our Public Safety, Health, and Welfare as our community grows. 

There will be public involvement, surveys, interest groups, and outreach to our citizens, those doing business in our community through our Task Force. One way to engage all our interest groups is through the website and our Piedmont paper!

Your Involvement in your community is Highly Important, without your input we will NOT have a plan that best fits our community.

We hope to make clear what a Comprehensive Plan is? Why we need it? What the Plan will accomplish? and Who will be guiding us through the steps in creating a Comprehensive Plan?

We currently have a 2020 Comprehensive Plan " Winds of Progress" & Future Land Use Map, which was adopted in 2005; however as we grow we need more than a general plan.

Why are you important in this process....?

Because a plan is created through collection of data from different sources to help project our future growth, the involvement and information from the community is the most crucial source to help identify what your needs and wants are, and so....  

Your Thoughts, Ideas, Concerns, and Involvement will help build a better Community for Tomorrow!

Evaluation of Existing Documents & Conditions:

Jacobs has been evaluating our current documents and will be meeting with the City to schedule workshops late January 2011.
